Learn how behavioral economics tools like demand curves, delay discounting, matching law, and the behavioral perspective model can transform the way you design sustainable services.
FOUR TOOLS, ONE GOAL: UNDERSTAND CONSUMERS BETTER.
Consumer Behavior Analysis (CBA) is where ABA meets the marketplace. Instead of just looking at client sessions or staff performance, you’ll learn how people allocate time, money, and effort, and how to map that behavior with four CBA tools.
These aren’t abstract theories; they’re practical ways to explain why consumers (whether families, staff, or customers) make the choices they do, and how you can design systems that actually fit how people behave.

FAQ
How many CEUs will I get?
If you're BACB certified, completing the course will get you 1.5 LEARN CEUs!
Who is this course for?
This course is for BCBAs and behavior analysts who are curious about how behavioral science connects to consumer decision-making. If you’ve been wondering how tools like demand curves or matching law show up outside the clinic, this is a great place to start. It’s especially relevant if you’re exploring OBM or thinking about pivoting into roles where understanding “buy-in” and consumer behavior matters.
Are there any pre-requisite skills?
Nope! You don’t need prior experience with Consumer Behavior Analysis to take this course. We’ll introduce the four core tools (demand curves, delay discounting, matching law, and the Behavioral Perspective Model) from the ground up and give you applied examples to make them easy to follow. All you need is a background in ABA and some curiosity about how it connects to the bigger world.
What if I'm an OBM Explorer Pass subscriber?
Good news! This course is already included in your subscription. You’ll find it in your Explorer Pass dashboard alongside the other CEUs. If you’re not yet a subscriber, you can purchase this course individually or consider joining the pass for ongoing access to a growing library of OBM-focused content.
What if I'm not certified through the BACB?
That's okay! In lieu of CEUs, you'll get a certificate of completion.
